Masseria Scagno

The idea of the project is to connect the existing buildings with the main one. The main routes were identified starting from the entrance, from which it starts a street flanked by tree lines and parking areas. The central multifunctional building recalls the typical local theme of fortified farms with a central courtyard and its volume is made by several buildings of different heights linked together by a series of stairs. The facades openings have different sizes in order to create a contrast with the seriality of the masonry. The connections are made by ramps so as to leave the central building higher than the pre-existing buildings, connected to each other through gardens and pergolas. The theme is to recreate the soul of the place made of local stone and nature presence.
